Keith Anthony Abel, Jr., from Chinook MT, born June 22, 1940.  Keith was always a kind and friendly man with a big heart, always willing to give a helping hand.  He was not only well known for his talents at the billiards table, but also his superior painting abilities.  Above all, his talent, love and passion for fishing would always take your breath away.  Always challenging himself to get the state record for trout fishing, he came very close many times.
Keith is survived by his sister Joenne Galipeau, his loving daughter Jodi Vonada, three sons, Brian, Mark and Scott Abel, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  We will miss you Keith and always carry your memory in our hearts.

I was saddened to learn that Keith had passed away. We grew up together in Havre and were in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts together. We both earned our printing merit badges at his dad's printing shop. My sympathy to Joenne and all his children and grandchildren. I last enjoyed seeing Keith at the Fossil Festival in Havre in September. Rest in peace my friend. Gregg

Condolences to Keith's family. I first met Keith at Buttrey Foods in Helena after I got out of the Navy in the mid-1970s. He was one of my mentors on the pool table, and we joined forces as teammates, qualifying for numerous national tourneys in Vegas. We partied, roofed and painted together; later we both sobered up, and remained lifelong friends. R.I.P. Keith.

Joenne, Jodi, Brian, Mark, & Scott,
I was saddened to hear that Keith had passed away. I last saw him at the Fossil Festival in Havre last September. Keith & I grew up together in Havre and were in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts together for several years. We both earned our printing merit badge at his dad's printing shop. He lived across the street from me on 12th street. My sincere sympathy to all of you and the rest of your family. Gregg Holt, Great Falls, MT

Condolences to the family. I first met Keith in Helena in the mid-1970s, when we worked together at Buttreys. He was a mentor on the pool table, and we soon became teammates and painting partners, which led to a lifelong friendship. He was nearly as good a bowler as pool shooter. Keith was a great guy, I consider him one of my best friends, and I will NEVER forget him. R.I.P., Keith Abel.
