Edna Helen Rasmussen
Born: Jul 17, 1921
Died: Jul 15, 2015
Edna Helen Rasumussen, passed away on July 15, 2015 on her beloved farm surrounded by her family. Arrangements have been made with Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
Helen was the only daughter out of a total of six siblings to parents Andrew and Anna Dahl who farmed south of Chinook. In 1938 Helen graduated high school and in 1940 married Loren Rasmussen also from a farm family south of Chinook.
Eventually Helen and Loren settled down south of Chinook themselves to farm and ranch. There they raised their 3 children, and in 1956 opened their home to their nieces Markita and Michele after the death of their mother.
Helen was an independent, hard working farm wife. She would drive truck, cook for crews of men and family, keep the yard up and all while welcoming people for a meal and visit. She loved the farm life and yet was more than willing to drive to Seattle to visit friends and relatives.
The center of her life was her faith in Jehovah God. She spent time in the ministry work and going to conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Helen was a stable loving influence for her family. She taught them to work hard and be hospitable.
She is preceded in death by her husband Loren V Rasmussen.
Helen is survived by her brother Howard Dahl. She is also survived by children Floyd Rasmussen of Chinook, Philip Rasmussen of Great Falls, Barbara Manthey of Ephrata, Washington; as well as and 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren,
