JADE MARIA TERESA HANLEY, “I-day-I-Thaa” (Pretty Woman), beloved mother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt and friend was called by The Creator on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Fort Belknap, MT. Wake services begin at 5pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at her residence in Newtown (Fort Belknap) and will continue at the Mission Rec Center, Hays, MT, on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 with rosary at 7pm. Funeral services will be on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11 am with burial in the Mission Cemetery, Hays, MT. Arrangements have been made with Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
Jade was born on March 27, 1985 to Pierre and Shannon (Brockie) Hanley in Havre, MT. She was a happy, energetic and mischievous little girl with curly hair, who was always laughing and making everyone who met her laugh with her. She attended school at St. Paul’s Mission Grade School and Jr. and Sr. High at Hays/Lodge Pole where she graduated in 2003. 
Our beloved Jade would soon grow into a very strong and willful young lady. She was a generous, helpful person and was kind to everyone she met. Jade was always trying to feed everyone and made sure they had a place to stay or a ride home. Her life’s greatest pleasure was the contentment with her daughter Keira Jean Rose Gardipee, to whom she loved unconditionally.
Jade was previously employed at the Fort Belknap Casino, was a Fort Belknap Camp Crew member and had attended Fort Belknap College.
Jade will be truly missed by her loving family who survives her: daughter Keira Jean Rose of Fort Belknap; her parents Pierre and Shannon of Hays; her sister Mauna Loa (Rusty) Brockie of Fort Belknap; her brother Tyler Hanley, Sr. of Hays; her nephews Tyrus (Taylor) Brockie of Fort Belknap; Tyler “TJ” Hanley, Jr. of Hays and her nieces JoShanna Brockie and Tela Rose Garcia, both of Fort Belknap. Also surviving are her uncles Richard Hanley of Solen, ND; Donnie (Michele) Brockie of Fort Belknap; John (Janice) Brockie of Hays; Jim Brockie of Greybull, WY; her aunts Cleo Richman of McLaughlin, SD; Vern Rousseau of Promise, SD and Helen Hanley of Bismarck, SD. She is also survived by her God-Parents (Uncle) Monte Brockie of Hays and Rose “Mush” Doney of Great Falls, MT; her grandmother Mary (Brockie) Hayes of Frazer and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Jade is preceded in death by her son Bronson James Hanley and daughter Red Cradle Girl Shortman; paternal grandmother Teresa Hanley; maternal grandparents Morris “Brickie” and JoAnne (LaValley) Brockie; uncle Mike Brockie; cousin-brothers Chad Shambo and John Edgar Brockie and other extended family members.
