Betty was born September 15, 1928 to Thorwald (Tom) and Bergeliot Ness in Havre, Montana.
Betty lived her entire life in the Chinook community. She attended rural schools and graduated from Chinook High School in 1946. Betty loved working with the public and proudly spent 50 years working on Main Street. She met her husband, Gerald Munson, while working at the Cozy Corner. They spent many years north of Chinook on the ranch where they raised their 3 children.
Betty brought fun and light heartedness to her community. She was actively involved in the American Lutheran Church, 4-H, Pleasant View Club, Eagles, Chinook Golf Course, Senior Citizens, the Red Hat Society and the Good Sam’s Blue Horizon Club. She was warm and welcoming to everyone.
Betty loved her family above all else. Jerry and Betty were a great support and role model to their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Needless to say they attended countless concerts, rodeos, and sporting events.
