Barry Lynn Zarn

Barry Lynn Zarn

Barry Lynn Zarn was born on November 15th 1963, the youngest son of Elmer & Aileen (Deane) Zarn. He was preceded in death by his parents and oldest brother Rick.

Barry attended Chinook Schools for all 12 years, and graduated in 1982.

Barry siblings will always be grateful for the years Barry spent caring for their mom until her death in 2006.  After our mom had passed, Barry moved to Washington State for the next 7 years, then returned to Chinook where he resided until his death on August 30th 2018.

While in Washington Barry was in a car accident that broke his back. His doctors said he would never walk again, but with sheer will and determination, he proved them wrong.  After returning to Montana he had a fall that again rendered him unable to walk. He spent some time in a nursing home in Havre, where again he demonstrated his strength and determination to walk, and which then gave him the ability to live on his own.

Barry was a very kind and loving person, he loved all kids, animals and older people.

Barry is survived by his sisters- Ruthann & Larry Cain of Yakima WA, Pam & Bob Cross of Chinook, and brother- Elmer & Karla Zarn of Chinook. He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Lila.

Funeral Service for Barry will be held on Saturday September 15th at 3:00pm at Chinook Methodist Church in Chinook MT.
