            Lifetime Havre resident Corey Johnson, 70, passed away March 23, 2019, at Northern Montana Care Center.

            A service will be held at Fifth Avenue Christian Church, 2015 Fifth Ave., Havre, Wednesday at 2 p.m.

            Corey was born Dec. 28, 1948, to Clarence and Katheren Johnson. He was born with cerebral palsy, which presented him a lifetime of challenges. He faced each one with determination and a big smile.

            Corey has been associated with Havre Day Activity Center for 50-plus years. He lived at home until age 49. After that, he lived in group homes managed by Havre Day.

            Corey liked being busy and participating in as many activities as possible. His hobbies included completing puzzles and giving them to friends and family, riding his bike, anything Elvis — music, movies and clothes — eating M&Ms and NASCAR — Go Jimmy Johnson #48.

            He is survived by his brother, Jon Johnson of Havre, and sister, Karla (Bob) Arndt of Great Falls, and nieces and nephews, Shannon Partidge, Shane (Sherri) Johnson, Modesty (Chris) Caven, Michelle (Tim) Kinsella, Jimmy Johnson, Bill (Jeri) Johnson, Karmen (Matt) Harris and Shelby (Ben) Trachik, and their children.

            His family would like to thank the staff at Havre Day and the caregivers at his group home for their compassionate care of Corey, and also thank Dr. Harada and the nurses at the hospital and care center.

            Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.

Hope you will be comforted in knowing that Corey has the prospect of being resurrected, healthy (in the flesh), to Paradise Earth just as Jehovah God has promised. In fact , the vast majority will enjoy everlasting life right here on earth as God had intended from the beginning. God’s Kingdom will do this under the rule of Jesus Christ.   2. I helped care for Corey years ago. He was one of my favorite people to care for. His smile and attitude always brightened my day. I learned to be a better person from him. God bless him. Annette Hodges.
