Florence “Babe Ro” Durand, 60, passed away March 15, 2018 at the Northern Montana Long Term Care Center in Havre, Mt.

Babe Ro was born September 18, 1957 to Charlene Leo at Fort Belknap Hospital. She attended Harlem Schools, graduating in 1975. She attended college at both Northern Montana College & Eastern Montana College. In May of 1976 she welcomed her only son, Michael Durand. She worked various jobs until she found her lifelong career at IHS at the beginning of 1980. Babe Ro worked for the IHS for 33 years until her retirement in 2013.

Babe Ro’s hobbies included beading, doing crossword puzzles, listening to music, playing Sudoku, reading books & bowling.

Babe Ro is survived by her only son Mike Durand of Harlem, Her only Grandson Thomas Durand of Hays, Sisters Monty Werk & Susie (Jim) Snell of Harlem, Brothers Ralph Leo of Harlem, Ken Leo of Pablo & Aaron (Amy) Stevens of Great Falls and numerous nieces & nephews. She is proceeded in death by her mother Charlene Leo, father Martin Hoops & sister Simone “Monie” Leo.

Babe Ro will be deeply missed by all of her family & many friends.

A wake will be held on 3/18/18 at 5pm at the Ft. Belknap Community Center on Ft. Belknap, Funeral Service will be held on 3/19/18 at 11am at the Ft. Belknap Community Center on Ft. Belknap.

I hope the Durand family find comfort and strength in Jesus promise along with our heavenly father Jehovah of the earthly resurrection, where death will be eliminated forever.
